Coro Perosi is a non-profit making music organization established since 1997. Since then, we had organized several concerts and had been invited for performances in Hong Kong and Zhongshan. By year 2002, we had participated in the 6th International Music Festival in Beijing, China; and had won the copper prize. Besides regular practices, we also invite individual voice soloists to train our members. We are an energetic choir in Macau.

Concert by the Coro Perosi "Music ‧ Concordia"
The theme of Coro Perosi’s Annual Concert 2025 will spotlight the word Concordia. The programme presents a repertoire that transcends time, space, cultures and genres. Featuring seven languages (Chinese, Latin, French, Portuguese, German, Basque and English) and four musical styles (sacred choral music, ensemble singing, secular choral music and vocal duet), we hope to explore how humanity harmonises with its environment.
The concert begins with an excerpt from Delibes’s famous opera Lakmé, namely, the iconic ‘Flower Duet’, whose lyrics depict the harmony between flowers, birds and rivers. Closely tied to the concept of harmony are the virtues of Faith, Hope and Love. Subsequently, several pieces will reflect these themes, including an ensemble rendition of ‘Audivi vocem de caelo’ by Renaissance composer Duarte Lôbo, and J. S. Bach’s ‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’, a beloved Baroque classic sung in German by the full choir.
The programme also includes excerpts from Mass compositions from different centuries – from Palestrina to Gounod and to Fr. Guilherme Schmid – showcasing the Choir’s deep commitment to classical and local sacred music. Additionally, two homegrown pieces composed by Fr. Liu Chi Ming and Fr. Áureo Castro will be sung in Mandarin and Portuguese respectively.
Other pieces include:
We look forward to sharing with you an evening where every note is a call to unity, and every harmony a glimpse of transcendence.
